On Sunday Brian competed in his 2nd triathlon and even managed to sucker Chance into doing it with him this time. It was a very early morning and we were all beat by the time we came home (about breakfast time for normal people). Brian got up around 4:15 and headed out and then the kids and I were up and out the door a little after 5:30 AM! I don't think I have seen that time of day since the day Cole was born. The kids and I loaded up and headed out to meet the guys and they were both in the water around 6:45. The sun was just coming up and it was H-O-T already. By the time I had met up with Brian's dad and pushed the kids in the stroller about a mile and a half from the car I was sweating. Whoever plans and then does a triathlon in August is nuts. That includes these two. But we are all very proud of them and they both did really well- Brian beat his time from his 1st triathlon in May so that right there made it worth it. I think it's safe to say we were all exhausted at the end and we had a very lazy Sunday. We had plans to go into town for lunch with my family but were just pooped. There was no way.
Way to go guys! Oh, and these two crazies signed up for the Warrior Dash in November in Austin! That should be very interesting to say the least running over and through fire and barbed wire fences. But, at least it won't be sweltering hot. That I am thrilled about.
